Ordering with DVA

DVA supplies many aids and appliances through its Rehabilitation Appliances Program (RAP), arranged by your doctor or allied health professional with DVA’s contracted suppliers. Talk to your prescriber first about what RAP covers. For anything outside RAP, or if you would rather buy now, we quote and supply directly.

How it works

  1. 1.Check with your prescriberYour GP or OT can tell you whether an item can be supplied through RAP.
  2. 2.Ask us for a quoteFor items outside RAP, or a model you prefer, send us your list or prescription.
  3. 3.Delivery and set-upWe deliver, set up and show you how to use the equipment.

Who we invoice

Private purchase
We invoice you, or whoever you nominate, such as a family member or an aged care provider.

Questions

Can DVA pay Joy Ours directly?

Usually RAP items come from DVA’s contracted suppliers, so ask your prescriber. If DVA approves a supply from us in writing, we invoice as they direct.

Eligibility and approval are decided by the scheme, not by Joy Ours. For the scheme’s own rules see dva.gov.au .
